That's right kids. The Punisher Extended Cut DVD hits shelves tomorrow. All week I'll be offering an exclusive look at the black and white illustrations that were used in the animated prologue, also known as "The deleted Kuwait scene". But before I get to that I want to unveil the new poster design I was commissioned to do for the Ex Cut by Lions Gate Films. LGF gave me carte blanche to come up with anything I wanted. No shackles, no art direction. They completely left it up to me and the result is possibly my favorite image of all the poster design work I did for the film. This image will be available inside every Punisher Extended Cut DVD package. It's a full dose of black and white - pen and ink linework that I painted digitally. I hope you all enjoy it. Thanksgiving day I'll release a few of the black and white illustrations created for the animation. Then, more new stuff every day until Sunday so stay tuned here all week for exlusive peeks behind the scenes.
In addition to all of this stuff I just did a bunch of interviews for various websites concerning the new DVD, the animated sequence, the comic, and all sorts of other topics. Please feel free to check out the interviews by clicking on the links. I'll be adding a few more in the next couple days. But first off we have my phone date with Film School Rejects' Brain Gibson. FSR is a site that mostly does movie, TV, and DVD reviews but they set aside their normal M.O. and slummed it up with me for a chat.
Next up is a phone interview with UGO's Troy Rogers. Troy and I talked about everything from Blade 2 to Iron Maiden, but most importantly we discussed The Punisher Extended Cut and what it's like working with Punisher Director Jonathan Hensleigh. Don't be afraid, click those blue links!
