A few weeks ago I handled a slew of very informed questions from Optimum Wound's Richard Serrao.
The first of three parts went live today. Back a few years ago my good friends at Optimum Wound were after me for a comprehensive interview but at the time I was too insanely busy to step up to the plate. I'm pretty sure I was lost in the land of New Mexico production designing Thomas Jane's directorial debut, Dark Country. What I love about the Optimum Wound crew is that they are students of the game, and they KNOW my work, so I felt compelled to give fairly extensive answers to the questions fired at me.
The result is a 3-part interview that covers a lot of diverse territory. There is insight into my creative process and we also yap about the tools I use, but the real guts of the interview pertain to less technical topics. The interview is highlighted with a fat selection of imagery that Richard Serrao and Jason Thibault hand-selected. And like I mentioned, they know this subject well ;) I'll update for the next two days adding links to parts 2 and 3, below. Hope you enjoy!
