Cover illustration for Hellraiser #4.
Clive Barker's new Hellraiser comics series, published by Boom Studios, is off like a shot. Great response from the fans and sales are looking bright. Glad to be a part of this one, especially with where the series is heading under the guidance of Clive. Some unbelievable stuff coming your way. If you weren't aware of this new series then now's the time to get onboard
I'm a long time ridiculously huge fan of Lance Henriksen (Aliens, Near Dark, Millennium), so I about lost my mind when I got a call from my pal Steve Niles informing me that Lance was publishing an autobiography, that it would be illustrated, and they wanted ME to join in the fun. Near Dark was such a huge influence on my work, visually, with my whole take on Vampire: The Maquerade, back in the day. I've been tracking Lance and his career ever since that fateful November evening when I caught Near Dark at the Castle Theater in Bloomington Illinois back in 1987. I've drawn Billy Paxton, and Lance numerous times over the years, but it was mostly just fan art from my early career. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd actually get paid to illustrate Lance as Jesse Hooker, from one of my all-time favorite films. All that excitement got trumped by a call from the man himself. Best birthday present I ever got ;) Not Bad For A Human|The Life And Films Of Lance Henriksen, goes on sale in May, from Steve Niles and Alex Lodermeier’s, Bloody Pulp Books.
Damn, that cover is fantastic.

Also, Lance Henriksen is awesome, and a really nice guy. Had the pelasure of meeting him a few years back. Looking forward to your artwork on that project.
