Coming in the fall of 2013 will be a sensational new art book collection from IDW & Raw Studios. Title of the book has not yet been conceived but the package itself is hatched even as I report this. The overall plan is to release two 200 page collections between 2013 and 2014 featuring IDW's incerdible "Artist Edition" format which showcases the artwork as close to "original" form as printing allows. The books will not be full-size as with the artist editions, instead the two books will be 9X12 as with my earlier collection, Archetype. These books will represent my ongoing series - Iconic Images and Cinematic Illustration. Both books will feature a look at many of my illustrations from the past 25 years in raw form, meaning we'll see them reproduced in black and white as they were created, but scanned in RGB to retain the closest possible reproduction of the original.
I addition to many pre-existing illustrations I'll be showcasing unpublished personal illustrations as well as creating all new never before seen visions specifically for the books. To undertake the new art I'll be launching a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for me to take off 10 weeks from normal work in order to complete the new stuff, much of which I've been planning over the past year. The crowd-funding campaign we're planning will have a unique archtechture in that aside from books, all the prizes will be orignal art, prelims/pencils from many well known works, and an opportunity for a limited amount of serious collectors to suggest a theme to upcoming works, then own the original. There will be no gimmicks or multiple versions of books. there will be only two book versions. The standard hardcover version, and a signed and numbered hardcover slipcase version with a plate of art not available with the standard. Since the nature of the prizes is original art, the availability of those prizes will be limited. So if you're interested you'll want to act fast once I've launched the campaign. I'll be updating through all social media once we're colse to launching - Likely in May/June of 2013.
I understand the contrast enables doctors to see better in which they wouldn't be able to see w/o contrast. Why do I need to get an MRI without contrast? Wouldn't the MRI with contrast be sufficient? Sources?
